HISTORY

After moving from upstate New York to Melbourne, Florida, William H. Sorensen started Sorensen Moving & Storage in March 1956. Mr. Sorensen sought opportunity on the Space Coast due to the area’s rapid expansion with the inception of the space program at Kennedy Space Center.
In 1977, William’s son, Scott Sorensen, took over as President and owner of Sorensen Moving & Storage. His leadership led to the relocation of our corporate headquarters a few years later. The spacious facility resides on Eau Gallie Boulevard, and we continue to work there today.
Experiencing a great deal of growth and success over the years, Sorensen Moving & Storage became one of the most accomplished, family-owned moving companies in the industry. To better serve Central Florida and expand our residential and commercial moving services, our company proudly opened a second location in Orlando in 2013 and brought on staff who specialize in logistics.
